Big Brother – Till Death Do You Part

TV · February 15, 2008

How excited is everyone for the new season of Big Brother?!?

Ok, you’re probably not at all. I’m the only person I know that actually watches it.

But I wanted to write a post giving my first impressions because they will probably all change by the end of it.

The premise this season is that Big Brother had each contestant take a personality test (like on Match.com) to team them up with the person they are most compatible with in the house. They are calling these people their “soul mates.” Every person (with 1 exception…see below) is single in the house.
There are 2 twists:

  1. There are two people in the house that are a real couple outside the house. They live together in real life and have been a couple for 9 months. They are not on the same team. This sucks for their teammates if they hope to find love because they are already in a relationship.
  2. There are two people in the house that dated at one time (for 12 years) but they had a bad break up (he cheated) and now she hates him.

Here is what I think so far:

This is Jen. She is the one in the relationship outside the house.

This is Ryan, Jen’s boyfriend. So far these two seem ok. I think Jen is a little attention starved and they seem like a pretty jealous couple. Both of them have already said they don’t “trust” each other’s partner. This is code for, “I don’t trust that I won’t be cheated on.”

This is Allison, Ryan’s house partner. She is bummed because she was really looking forward to hopefully finding love. She really liked Ryan. Then they spilled the beans that Ryan and Jen were a couple. She was mad. I think she’s gonna be the one to flip out and ruin Ryan’s chance.

This is the girl that was cheated on by the 12-year relationship kid. Her name is Sharon.

This is the douche that did the cheating. I don’t have a lot to predict, mostly because they were already voted off. This guy decided to “stir the pot” by saying he heard several people say Jen’s partner was a snake, but had nothing to backup who said it or if it were true. To try to save their chances, Sharon went to Jen and lied and said Ryan said it. Ooops, Ryan is her real-life boyfriend. She knew he didn’t. That’s when this duo got evicted.

This is the most superficial, rude, dramatic, old woman I have ever seen. I hope she leaves soon.

This is a team on the show. I predict that at one point or another, they’re gonna do it.

My early predictions for winners. I have no real reason, they just seem solid right now.
