**Update**

It’s official. I’ve started.

**End Update**

I think I’m going to start reading Lord of the Rings, but I’m not really excited about it. I tried reading The Hobbit and got too bored and never finished it. What do you think? Have you read LOTR? Will I get bored?

I’ve read LOTR 3 times. It is one of the best experiences I’ve had reading. However, it does start out slow. There are pages devoted entirely to describing the woods they are walking in, but that helps create the world. Once you’ve finished the first book, which is the longest, you’ll want to read the other two which go much faster (for the most part). I read them first before the movie, so there was more suspense. The book is much more dense and larger in scope than, say, HP. You’ll feel like you’ve accomplished something when you’ve read it all.
