Football season this year has stressed me out to the max. Mostly NFL, but also the Razorbacks. Anyhow, several weeks ago I started running a lot. It was going fine, but I started to gain a little weight and I decided it was because I was gaining muscle. So, I decided to cut back on the running and instead do some kind of tone work. This combined with the stress of football lead me to start yoga.
If I have any regular readers, you know I haven’t posted any of the spreads or my picks for NFL since week 1. It’s because the past 2 weeks have been so horrible, I don’t want to embarrass myself. Every Sunday my blood pressure spikes as I scream at the t.v. and hope upon hopes that KC will come through for me (win or lose by enough) at least once this season.
With my quest for calm has come yogamazing.com. This website gives FREE podcasts for full yoga classes. I can do my yoga in the privacy of my own home and for free. I didn’t know it before finding the site, but you can do yoga specifically for certain areas of the body, i.e. buns and thighs, flexibility, fat burning, etc. And, I also didn’t know, but yoga can be incredibly intense. I have never attempted yoga before and honestly have laughed it off in the past thinking it could do nothing more than make me light headed with all the heavy breathing involved, but now that I have I see it gives a pretty good workout.
For anybody who wants some free yoga class downloads so you can start practicing in the privacy of your own home, I recommend you check out the site.
