It’s been a minute since I last updated and usually, it’s because there isn’t anything all that exciting to post about. However, I’ve been thinking, maybe I should turn my blog into an “entertainment review” type blog.
I would want to review any type of entertainment I experience. That’d be a lot though. For example, I’d want to review each episode of a show I watch, each movie, each new CD I buy, every concert I see, etc. What would get me is each episode of a show. I’m not sure I could do that. Maybe I could pick my top 5 or something.
Anyhow, it’s just a thought because my blog has no real focus. I just write about whatever I can come up with or think will be interesting or something that happened in my personal life. I’ve never wanted it to be a “journal” type blog and I’ve never wanted to involve anyone other than myself. Don’t blogs usually have some sort of focus?
I’ll start with a CD review. I’ve purchased an abundance of chick CD’s recently. These include Flyleaf, The Bird and The Bee, Feist, Vanessa Carlton, and Natasha Bedingfield.
The Bird and The Bee has a Frou Frou esque sound, but more lounge-like. Whenever I listen to it, I alway imagine yuppies sitting on white, rectangular, vinyl benches that have curved, steel legs in a dimly lit room with concrete floors, holding martini glasses and laughing. *shrugs*
I’d say it’s part electronica, part pop and somewhat jazzy; upbeat and sort of reminiscent of the 70’s (maybe because of all the tambourines). Prudish beware: track 3 is called F***ing Boyfriend. And all tracks are labeled as “explicit.” The lead singer is real “breathy” and her voice is incredibly soothing. Overall, I enjoy this CD immensely. And, for the record, more than Feist. But I’ll save that for another post.
Entertainment blogs are cool… And it seems you know a lot more than most people about music and movies. That would work.
Could the reader submit crap for you to review? That would be cool.
I like the entertainment blog idea.
My blog could best be described as unfocused. Although, it could probably be considered a LOST blog pretty soon.
Chris’s blog could best be described as lame.
“sitting on white, rectangular, vinyl benches that have curved, steel legs in a dimly lit room with concrete floors, holding martini glasses and laughing.” – That pretty much describes my very cosmopolitan lifestyle.
