A local radio deejay talked a few weeks ago about using fish oil pills to lose weight. Most people use fish oil for joint pain, heart issues, etc. Ugly Ed, however, was strictly taking them for weight loss. Being that over the past couple of months I have been trying to shed a few pounds, I decided to check it out.
I had been 5 pounds away from my goal weight for 4 weeks. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get over the hump of those last grueling pounds. When I bought the fish oil, the GNC guy actually suggested I try a diuretic first to shed what he thought might just be water weight. But I thought about it for a second and realized that would only be a temporary fix. I wanted something that would burn fat and would keep it off unless I screwed up and gained weight again.
I can’t tell you exactly how it works, but apparently, your body burns the fish oil then starts working on the fat in your body (for a more in depth explanation, google “fish oil for weight loss”). I have been on the fish oil pills for 2 weeks now and have lost 3 of those 5 pounds. I take 6 of these a day. Two in the morning, 2 at lunch and 2 with dinner. My only complaint is they give you the burps. And after a few days those burps smell just like the pills, which isn’t the most pleasant in the world. I don’t know if the fish oil alone is what did it for me, but since it’s not doing any harm and they seem to be helping me reach my goal weight, I figure I’ll keep with them.
Cool looking site… I wish I could waste my whole day designing my own site… seriously.
something about this diet seems “fishy.”
