I warned folks that Harry Potter had taken over my life. This is just further evidence of that. I bought my Halloween costume 2 months early. I wasn’t even looking to buy a costume this year. I went all out last year and wanted to take the home-made route that would have worked perfectly fine and probably for a lot less money. I’ve been trying to sell my last year’s costume since September with no luck.
But that damn Amazon… I was innocently looking for HP apparel (jackets, rings, etc.) when the costume showed up as a “you should also check this out” item.
As soon as I saw it, I just had to buy it. *rolls eyes* There is no way I could have pulled it off without the costume. I could have bought a tie, but the dress, cape, wand and glasses completed the look enough that I was convinced.
I also thought (for some dumb reason) that since I bought it online, maybe it wasn’t a very popular costume. I went to Halloween Express with Amy (pictured) and saw the very same get up and very much available to everyone. Luckily, none of the other Harry Potter enthusiasts were wearing it at the party I went to.
