I think anyone that says they like a challenge should love Valentine’s Day. When else do you have to try to meet such insane expectations, all the while being extremely creative, sickeningly sweet, and above and beyond par in chivalry? Not to mention what you have to come up with if you’re on a budget. I read a lot of articles of people who think Valentine’s Day is too commercialized and blown WAY out of proportion. Of course it is. That’s never going to change in our society as a whole, however, if you don’t like it, I think you can change your thinking of it on a personal level.
Don’t expect too much and you won’t be disappointed.
If you are the one having to be Superman for the day, attack this like you might an every day situation at work. Think outside the commercialized box. Just making an effort to spend quality time with your sweetie will impress her a lot more than flowers or chocolates.
