Sweet Web Sites

Technology · January 24, 2008

Thanks to an unnamed, law student friend of mine in Fayetteville, I learned about two frickin’ sweet sites.

1) http://www.seeqpod.com – This site lets you search for any song you can think of and adds that song to a play list that you can play all day long. The drawback here is you can really only listen so long as you’re at your computer (not unlike pandora.com) because you can’t save the individual songs. But, you can save the play lists so you don’t have to create new ones everyday. Sweet for anyone with a desk job.

2) http://www.surfthechannel.com – I have a feeling this one won’t be up very much longer. It allows users to watch movies currently in the theater from your computer. No plug-ins, no fees, just click and watch. I don’t know how they do it (I’m guessing it’s bootlegged) but my unnamed friend watched Juno from home and I check out Meet the Spartans.

thanks for the anonymity. I’m guessing surfthechannel will go down in flames. It’s very similar to a site that was called tvlinks that was based in the UK that was shut down this summer with the owner arrested.
